What we collect
- •Questions and images you submit to get explanations. These are sent to AI providers to generate answers.
- •Your Google profile (name and email) when you sign in with Google. We use this to identify your account.
- •Chapter mastery and progress data: which chapters you've studied, how often you answered follow-up questions correctly. This powers personalisation.
- •Feedback votes (thumbs up / down) on answers, if you provide them.
How we use it
- •To generate step-by-step explanations for your questions.
- •To personalise future explanations: if you've struggled with a concept, we mention it in your next explanation so the AI connects the dots.
- •To show you your progress (chapter mastery, spaced repetition reminders).
- •To improve the quality of explanations over time using aggregated feedback.
What we don't do
- •We never sell your data to anyone.
- •We don't show you ads, and your data is never used for ad targeting.
- •We don't share your personal information with third parties, except the AI providers required to answer your questions (Groq, Google Gemini, OpenRouter, Mistral). These providers process your question text/images only to generate an explanation; they don't store it for training without your consent.
Data retention
Your account data and study history are stored as long as your account is active. If you'd like your data deleted, email us at the address on our contact page and we'll remove it within 7 days.
Cookies
We use browser localStorage to store your session token and recent questions locally on your device. We don't use third-party tracking cookies.
